Bhopal, June 23: In a faux pas committed by the civic body of Pipariya Tehsil in Hoshangabad district, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is referred to as the Prime Minister. The poster also displays the photograph and designation of PM Narendra Modi, who will be sharing the stage with Chouhan later in the day.

PM Modi will be dedicating a range of urban development projects during his single-day Madhya Pradesh visit today. The marquee inauguration among them is Sutra Seva -- an economical bus service to be launched in four municipal corporations -- Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Chhindwara and the two municipal towns of Guna and Bhind.

From the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Indore, the PM will also be performing in the grih pravesh of 1,00,219 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Modi will also be inaugurating 23 development projects undertaken at a cost of Rs 278.26 crore in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain under the Smart City Mission.

14 drinking water schemes are also to be dedicated to the state by the Prime Minister. The beneficiaries are residents of Dharmapuri Municipal Council (Dhar district), Raisen Municipal Council, Begumganj, Obaidullaganj, Berasia (Bhopal), Athner (Betul), Badhvad (Ratlam), Dindori, Lakhnadon (Seoni), Narsinghpur, Sabalgarh, Bamor, Porsa (Morena) and Bamouri (Shahdol).

Modi will also dedicate the 10 major parks developed under Amrut Yojana in Khargone, Sehore, Hoshangabad, Bhopal, Pithampur, Guna, Gwalior and Rewa, Khandwa and Burhanpur.

The slew of development projects inaugurated by the state government comes months ahead of Madhya Pradesh moving into assembly elections. The polls are likely to be held in December.
