Agra, August 21: Bajrang Dal's Agra unit president named Sanjay Jaat has announced a bounty of Rs 5 lakhs for the heads of Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu and Pakistan Army Chief General Javed Qamar Bajwa.

The Bajrang Dal man can be seen saying in the video that Sidhu, a Sikh, has "overlooked" the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh. The man claimed that Guru Gobind Singh had said that persons of a certain community should never be trusted despite the assurances from them.

In the video he is also seen showing a cheque of Rs 5 lakh for anyone who brings the head of cricketer turned minister Navjot Singh Sidhu. Watch the video below:

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday launched a fresh salvo at Punjab cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for hugging Pakistan Army Chief General Javed Qamar Bajwa during the swearing-in ceremony of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on August 18.

BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra, during a press conference said that Congress President Rahul Gandhi is responsible for the actions of Sidhu and blamed the Congress President of running a parallel government.

Meanwhile, Navjot Singh Sidhu defended hugging Pakistan's Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa at the swearing-in ceremony of new Prime Minister Imran Khan, citing past visits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and late BJP veteran Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Pakistan. Sidhu said PM Modi visited Pakistan without invitation and why his patriotism was not questioned.

Newly-elected Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday thanked Punjab Minister and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu for attending his swearing-in ceremony. Calling Sidhu an ambassador of peace, Imran Khan said 'those targetting him in India are doing a great disservice to peace'. He also reiterated that India and Pakistan must resolve conflicts which include Kashmir through dialogue.
