Asansol, September 19: A complaint has been lodged in Asansol (South) police station against Union Minister Babul Supriyo in connection with an incident where he threatened a man to break his legs during a program for differently abled people in in the district yesterday. Irked by a man who was moving to and fro in the hall while he was delivering a speech, Supriyo lost his cool.
The video went viral of the MP threatening the man is doing rounds on social media. In the footage, Supriyo can be heard saying, “What is your problem? I can break your one leg and then give you a clutch. Now go and stand in the corner.” Supriyo was invited at the event to distribute wheelchair and clutches to the differently-abled people of his constituency.

It is not the first time that the Minister has landed in controversy. In May this year, while visiting the riot-victims in Asansol, Supriyo had threatened the protesting Trinamool Congress workers, saying, "I will skin you alive." The remarks had drawn sharp flak from the opposition, which called it an attempt by Supriyo to intimidate the minorities.
