Chandigarh, March 16: Rattan Lal Kataria, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Panchkula, Haryana, made a controversial remark on Congress president Rahul Gandhi, his father and former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi's assassination. Kataria said in his comment on  March 14, Thursday, that "Rahul's father could not get his name cleaned in the Bofors scam even after his death, and this Rahul is accusing us of doing wrong now." The BJP MP from Panchkula, referring to Rahul Gandhi's 'Chowkidar Chor Hai' jibe at PM Narendra Modi in the Rafale deal, said that "Iska baap to mar gaya, Rahul ka, Bofors kaand ke laaga chunri mein daag mitaaoon kaise" (His father has died, Rahul's father, and couldn't wash off his name from the Bofors scam). Rattan Lal Kataria continued, "Wo (Rajiv Gandhi) to iss dunia se chala gaya aur daag mite nahi. Aur wo hamein keh rahe hain." (Rahul Gandhi's father went away from the world and yet could not get his name free from the Bofors scam and now they (Congress, Rahul Gandhi) tell us (about Rafale)," reported news agency ANI.
