Bengaluru, January 18: Days after being criticised for poking fun at Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah’s illness, senior Congress parliamentarian BK Hariprasad sparks another controversy by claiming that Shah is not suffering from ‘Swine Flu’ and he has reports from AIIMS to substantiate it.

Asked on his controversial statements, where he stated that Amit Shah is suffering for ‘Suar ka Zukham’ for his deeds to topple the Congress-led state government in Karnataka, Hariprasad claimed that the BJP president is not admitted in AIIMS. Speaking to reporters, He said, “We have a report that he (Amit Shah) doesn't have any flu, we also know people in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), they said he is not admitted because of the flu. Let me get the facts then I will get back to you.”

Earlier on Thursday, the Rajya Sabha parliamentarian had poked fun at Shah, stating that BJP president had been cursed by the people of Karnataka for ‘operation lotus’. He had said, “If he (Shah) continues to destabilise the Karnataka government, he will have to deal with even more serious diseases.”

Reportedly, Shah was admitted in AIIMS on Wednesday night after being diagnosed with swine flu. He is being kept under the supervision of AIIMS director Randeep Guleria and is expected to be released soon. Informing about his illness, Shah took to Twitter and said, “I have been diagnosed with swine flu for which the treatment is underway. With God's grace and good wishes from all of you, I will recover soon.”

Soon after the controversial comment of Hariprasad, BJP leaders condemned the statement and stated that the leader

had lost his mental balance.
