Bengaluru, May 15: The Janata Dal (Secular) continues to maintain its stronghold over Hassan as the party won seven of the eight constituencies in the district. The seats won by the JD(S) are HolenarasipurSakleshpurShravanabelogalaArkalgudArsikere and Belur. While the Congress failed to open its account from the district, BJP won the sole seat of Hassan.

In the last assembly polls, the JD(S) emerged winner from Hassan, Holenarasipur, Sakleshpur and Shravanabelogala, whereas, the Indian National Congress (INC) managed a victory in Arkalgud and Belur. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), meanwhile, had failed to register a victory in any of the constituencies of the district.
