Lok Sabha Elections 2019: The New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi has been one of the most important seats. Voting for this seat in the General Elections will take place in the sixth phase on May 12. The New Delhi seat has seen some of the biggest political names as MPs. These include late former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani among others. While the nominations for the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat are yet to be filed, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its candidate. AAP leader Brijesh Goyal will contest the 2019 poll from this seat. The Congress and BJP candidates are yet to be announced. The Lok Sabha Elections 2014 on the New Delhi Parliamentary Constituency was won by BJP's Meenakshi Lekhi, who is the sitting MP from this seat. Lekhi had defeated AAP's Ashish Khetan by over 1,60,000 votes.

Voting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will take place across the country in seven phases. While the first phase polling will be held on April 11, the final phase voting will take place on May 19. The General Election 2019 results will be declared on May 23.
