The results of the Palakkad Lok Sabha Constituency has been declared. VK Congress candidate VK Sreekandan won the seat with 39,9274 votes defeating sitting MP MB Rajesh, a CPI (M) candidate. Sreekandan won over a margin of 11,637 votes in Palakkad. Other candidates in the fray include Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) C Krishnakumar and Bahujan Samaj Party's (BSP) Hari Arumbil. Voting took place for the Palakkad Constituency on April 23. Palakkad is a municipality in the Indian state of Kerala. It is one of the fourteen districts in the southwestern state where the voting will be held in a single phase. Palakkad is one among the 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. The constituency number of Palakkad is 8. Palakkad Lok Sabha constituency comprises of seven assembly segments including Pattambi, Shoranur, Ottapalam, Kongad (SC), Mannarkkad, Malampuzha and Palakkad.

Palakkad is a CPI(M) stronghold since 1999. In 2009, MB Rajesh had won by a by barely 1,820 votes over his closest competitor Congress' Satheesan Pacheni. In 2014, the UDF had brought in an outsider in Socialist Janata (Democratic)'s MP Veerendra Kumar to defeat Rajesh. However, it worked in favour of  MB Rajesh who won by a margin of more than a lakh votes.

The Lok Sabha elections 2019 was held between April 11 and May 19 in seven phases. In Kerala, voting was held in a single phase. During the third phase, the polling was held in 115 Lok Sabha constituencies of 14 states. The counting of votes was held on May 23 and thereafter the results were declared.
