Madhya Pradesh, September 18: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday launched his party's campaign in Madhya Pradesh with a stinging attack on Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the event, Rahul Gandhi compared Shivraj Singh Chouhan with Sachin Tendulkar and said that just like Sachin comes to pitch to score runs, similarly, Shivraj Singh Chouhan comes to the stage only to make a slew of announcements.

“You all have known about Tendulkar. Whenever he played any innings, everybody was assured that he will score at least 50, 60, 70 or 100 runs. Here, in Madhya Pradesh, there is a run machine known as the state chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan who makes announcements with the same pace,” PTI quoted Gandhi as saying. Rahul Gandhi Takes Samosa and Tea Break at Roadside While Holding Roadshow in Poll-bound Madhya Pradesh

While promoting his party, he said, “If Congress Party comes to power there will be middle-class friendly GST, instead of existing GST. He also claimed, the farmer’s loans will not just be waived in Madhya Pradesh after the assembly election but across the country if Congress returns to power at the centre.”

Launching a ferocious attack on PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi said, “The Gabbar Singh Tax (GST) took money from the pockets of the poorest to fill the pockets of richest industrialists. This Gabbar Singh Tax will end after 2019 and a new GST will be implemented.”

Talking on the issue of farmers loan, Rahul Gandhi asked Modi government if they can wave NPAs of top 10 richest people in the county, then why they cannot wave small loans of farmers

The roadshow was the launch of Congress Campaign in Madhya Pradesh, for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as its attempt to dislodge BJP, who is been ruling in the state for last 15 years.
