New Delhi, December 14: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday tweeted a smiling picture with Rajasthan chief ministerial contenders Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, apparently to show unity between the two hopefuls of the top post, signalling cohesion within the party. "The united colours of Rajasthan!" Rahul Gandhi wrote along with the image. The Congress is likely to announce the name of the Rajasthan CM-designate this evening.

On Thursday, Gandhi tweeted a smiling picture with Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia minutes before the Congress announced the name of Nath as the chief minister in Madhya Pradesh. While Nath was chosen for Madhya Pradesh, suspense continued in Rajasthan as both Pilot and Gehlot claimed to have the maximum support. Both Gehlot and Pilot have been in Delhi since yesterday.

After rounds of hectic meetings in the national capital - involving Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi, Rajasthan election in-charge KC Venugopal, Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, Rahul Gandhi appeared to have finalised the name for the top post. While Gehlot on Thursday emerged Rahul Gandhi's pick as the chief minister in Rajasthan, suspense continued as Pilot's supporters protested to mount pressure.
