Rajnath Singh Appeals For Order In The House During Gandhi's Speech
Amid loud protests from Treasury bench MPs, Rajnath Singh urged members to allow the Leader of the Opposition to complete his speech without interruption.
Addressing the Speaker, Singh said: "Speaker Sir, I respectfully request that any unparliamentary words used by the Leader of the Opposition be expunged. I appeal to my Treasury bench colleagues to remain silent and listen to him (Gandhi)." His intervention briefly eased the uproar in the House before the debate continued.
Rahul Gandhi's Remarks Trigger Protest
The controversy began after Rahul Gandhi made remarks during the discussion on the anti-paper leak Bill that drew protests from NDA MPs.
