Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, whose party is part of the BJP led National Democratic Alliance and in coalition with the BJP in Maharashtra, has launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for pulling out of the coalition with the Mehbooba Mufti led PDP and thus breaking the government in Jammu & Kashmir.

Attacking the BJP, Uddhav said that "It took you 3.5 years & sacrifice of around 600 soldiers to realise that you should take back your support in Jammu and Kashmir. When you know how that govt functions, how could you even support them for so long."

Reacting on reports of criticizing the BJP government despite being in coalition with the party and power in Maharashtra, he said that:

The strong attack by Uddhav Thackeray on the Bharatiya Janata Party's decision to break away from the Jammu and Kashmir government by ending the coalition with Mehbooba Mufti's PDP, will surely lead to another round of verbal volley between the "sparring partners". BJP President Amit Shah had recently met Uddhav Thackeray at his Bandra residence named Matoshree when he was in the state for Sampark for Samarthan.
