Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2019 is all set to kick off on August 21 and scheduled to continue until August 25. Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif will open the latest edition of the fashion show on Wednesday. The 36-year-old will turn showstopper for the veteran designer, Manish Malhotra to showcase his latest collection titled Maahrumysha. Bollywood actress and runway queen Kareena Kapoor Khan will bring down the curtains of the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive season. Lakme Fashion Week began in 2000 with 33 designers. Two decades later, the LFW has grown from strength to strength with each season to become a prestigious platform now showcasing over 200 labels. They recently celebrated 20th anniversary of Lakme Fashion Week, which was attended by Gen Next designers like Nachiket Barve and Nikhil Thampi, along with established names such as Manish Malhotra, Narendra Kumar, Monisha Jaising and Shantanu & Nikhil.

As for the Winter/Festive 2019 edition, the aim is to redefine the benchmarks set by LFW in the past. Jaspreet Chandok, Vice President and Head of Fashion, IMG Reliance Ltd said LFW 2019 Winer/Festive is going to be lavish in every way. Their aim is to put forth new ideas in fashion, along with a focus towards making the platform more inclusive, sustainable and global.

Katrina Kaif Will Walk For Manish Malhotra – August 21

Kat will walk the ramp for Manish Malhotra's Maahrumysha collection on August 21 (Wednesday). This collection focusses on outfits apt for lighter occasions as well as the destination weddings. Expect the signature gold of Manish Malhotra label along with classic chromes of white, ivory, beige, ochre, grey and salmon.

Ananya Panday Will Walk For Anushree Reddy and Arpita Mehta

After Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan, it's time to witness another star kid make their ramp debut. Ananya Panday will turn showstopper for Anushree Reddy and Arpita Mehta at LFW Winter/Festive for their collection titled The Blockbuster Bride. It is going to be a tribute to the iconic brides from Bollywood movies over the ages.

Diana Penty Will Walk The Ramp For Ridhi Mehra

Diana Penty is set to walk the ramp for Delhi-based fashion designer Ridhi Mehra on the third day of the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019. Ridhi will showcase her latest collection An Ode to Heirlooms, which will be an opulent take on the rich and traditional culture of India.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar Will Walk For Payal Singhal

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are set to walk the ramp for couturier Payal Singhal. They will be showcasing the designer's latest collection #PS20. This is the first time Farhan and Shibani will walk the runway as a couple.

Kareena Kapoor Khan Will Walk For Gauri & Nainika

Apart from these, Lakme Fashion Week will also witness a  fresh line-up of Gen Next designers, who will get an opportunity to share their artistic vision at the fashion gala. The six designers are Sahib Bhatia, Ankita Srivastava, Akanksha Aggarwal from New Delhi, along with Gaurav from Ghazipur, Mumbai's Manjushree Saikia and Stanzin Palmo hailing from Ladakh.
