Pravesh Wahi of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was elected Mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Wednesday, securing a decisive victory in the mayoral election. Fellow BJP councillor Monika Pant was elected Deputy Mayor, consolidating the party’s control over the civic body.
