Following heavy selling pressure in the early hours, the indices staged a gradual recovery during the second half, led by strength in heavyweight Reliance Industries. At the end of the trading day, the BSE Sensex was down 7.25 points or 0.01 per cent at 80,710.76, and the Nifty was up 6.70 points or 0.03 per cent at 24,741.00.
