At least six labourers were killed and three others injured after a portion of an under-construction bridge collapsed over the Betwa River in Uttar Pradesh’s Hamirpur district during a severe storm early Friday morning, officials said. Rescue teams from the SDRF, police and district administration launched an extensive operation following the accident.
