Kia, South Korea's second-largest carmaker, said on Friday its second-quarter net profit fell 23.3 per cent from a year earlier, impacted by newly imposed US import tariffs that took effect in April. Net profit for the three months ended June declined to 2.26 trillion won (US$1.6 billion) from 2.95 trillion won a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing.
