Paresh Rawal’s The Taj Story, based on the right-wing conspiracy theory about the Taj Mahal, opened in theatres on October 31. Despite limited screens and negative reviews, the film earned INR 6.8 crore in its first weekend. However, with a budget of INR 25 crore, it faces a steep road to break-even amid poor audience response.
