Demond Wilson, an army veteran who found fame as an actor on 'Sanford and Son' and went on to become a minister, died on January 30 at 79. The actor's publicist confirmed that he died following complications from cancer. He served in the US Army in Vietnam and was wounded there. He returned to New York and acted on stage before heading to Hollywood.
