In a major step to curb fraudulent claims under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, the Centre has allowed Maharashtra’s Women and Child Development Secretary to access Income Tax Return (ITR) data. The June 3, 2025 CBDT notification aims to ensure only eligible women receive benefits under the welfare scheme.
