North India is reeling under the most intense cold wave conditions in the past few decades. The worst brunt of the winter season has been felt by Delhi, with temperature in the national capital dipping to as low as 1.7 degree celsius. Several schools and colleges in the national capital region, along with neighbouring Punjab and Uttar Pradesh have been asked to remain closed.
