The death of Nithin Raj, a first-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) student at Kannur Dental College, has sparked widespread protests and a high-level inquiry following the emergence of voice messages alleging systematic casteist abuse and faculty harassment. Nithin was found dead on the college campus on Friday in a suspected case of suicide.
