An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Manchester (6E 033) was forced to return to its origin on March 9, after spending seven hours in the air. The diversion occurred over Eritrea due to sudden West Asia airspace restrictions. Consequently, IndiGo shares plunged 8 per cent to a 52-week low of INR 4,035 as crude oil prices surged past USD 110 per barrel.
