Vishal Verma, a 20-year-old marine engineering cadet at Pune's Tolani Maritime Institute, died after a basketball structure collapsed on him during exercise. The UP native suffered fatal head injuries while performing pull-ups. Police are now investigating structural defects and maintenance lapses following similar recent sports-related deaths.
