The Mangaluru City Corporation has announced a 24-hour complete water shutdown in several parts of the city from 6:00 AM on Monday, May 18, to 6:00 AM on Tuesday, May 19. The disruption is necessary to replace a crucial Non-Return Valve on the main 1,100-mm pipeline from the Thumbe pumping station. Residents are advised to store water in advance.
