Hours after the 73-year-old doctor was beaten to death by a tea garden worker's family in Assam’s Jorhat district on Saturday, the state unit of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and the Assam Medical Service Association (AMSA) called for 24 hours strike as a mark of protest.
