The Punjab government has launched the Mukhya Mantri Sehat Yojna, providing universal health insurance of INR 10 lakh per family to all 65 lakh households. The scheme offers cashless treatment for 2,200 procedures at over 824 hospitals. Residents only need an Aadhaar and a Voter ID to register for the free "Sehat Cards" via local camps.
