Cops said that the accused came up with the plan to end his life or kill someone else to get the insurance amount of INR 1 crore. During the probe, cops found that the accused, Ganesh Chavan, who was under an INR 57 lakh debt, was hiding in Sindhudurg after murdering a man and later burning his body inside a car in Latur's Ausa to fake his own death.
