The Union Cabinet approved an INR 1,067 crore extension of the Ahmedabad Metro, connecting GIFT City to Shahpur. The 3.33-km elevated project will feature three stations and is set for completion in four years. It aims to bolster connectivity for daily commuters and follows record trading volumes at GIFT Nifty on February 22.
