The landing exercise was carried out at a shore-based test facility in Goa. Officials involved in the exercise said it took just 87 metres for the jet to take full halt after landing on the deck of INS Vikramaditya. The Tejas aircraft has been developed by the DRDO, without any foreign expertise. The fighter aircraft is expected to launch its maiden takeoff from INS Vikramaditya in the next few days.
