Supreme Court of India is scheduled to hear appeals on Monday from Meta Platforms Inc. and WhatsApp LLC challenging a Rs 213.14 crore penalty. The fine was imposed by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) following a 2021 update to the messaging app’s privacy policy, which regulators deemed an abuse of market dominance.
