A 35-year-old cab driver was killed in Mumbai's Wadala on Friday after a 40-ton iron plate fell from a container truck, crushing his car. The accident, which took place beneath the Eastern Freeway, was reportedly caused by snapped chains on an uneven road. Police have detained the truck driver for negligence following a 6-hour rescue effort.
