Hyderabad cybercrime police registered two cases against operators of multiple social media handles and named Meta's India head as a co-accused over alleged morphed and derogatory content targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Acting on BJP supporters' complaints, police issued notices to Meta and invoked provisions of the BNS and IT Act.
