Hit hard by the novel coronavirus pandemic, food delivery startup Zomato has announced that it will lay off 13 percent of its workforce and slash salaries of all its employees. Food and restaurant industry is the worst affected by COVID-19 crisis as the outlets have been closed since March 25 after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced lockdown to contain the virus.
