Rameshwar Oraon of the Congress won the Lohardaga Vidhan Sabha constituency. Oraon defeated his nearest rival Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Sukhdeo Bhagat by a margin of 30,150. Oraon received 74,320, while the BJP candidate got 44,078 votes.
