Deol, apart from being a prominent personality of Punjab, is also the lawmaker of Gurdaspur -- a town located close to the International Border. The Kartarpur Corridor would be linking Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur, located roughly 4-km away from the IB, to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib shrine in Kartarpur, based in Pakistan's Narowal district.
