Govatsa Dwadashi is an auspicious occasion dedicated to cows and is considered sacred in Hinduism. On this day, devotees, particularly women, worship cows and calves. Govatsa Dwadashi is also observed as Nandini Vrat as ‘Nandini’ refers to the cow in Hinduism.
