Ruby Reynolds, 11, and her father, Justin Reynolds, discovered the jawbone of a new prehistoric species, Ichthyotitan severnensis, in Somerset, UK. At 25 meters long, this Late Triassic ichthyosaur is the largest marine reptile ever found. Their citizen science contribution confirmed a new genus, earning them co-author credits in a major study.
