ByteDance is reportedly collaborating with Samsung to manufacture a custom AI inference chip, targeting production of 100,000 units in 2025. This strategic move, codenamed SeedChip, aims to mitigate the impact of US export controls and reduce reliance on Nvidia. The company plans to spend CNY 160 billion on AI development this year.
