Satya Nadella-led Microsoft announced that it would reduce its workforce by 3% amid organisational changes and focus on spending more on AI (artificial Intelligence) development and data centres. Microsoft layoffs will affect 6,000 employees, second biggest since 10,000 cut in 2023.
