Donald Trump–appointed AI and crypto czar David Sacks dismissed reports suggesting that artificial intelligence was responsible for the mass layoffs that occurred in October 2025. Sacks refuted the claim, calling the October spike “anomalous”; however, November numbers had dropped sharply by 53%, he said.
