On February 17, an avalanche near Frog Lake in Northern California buried a group of 16 backcountry skiers. While six people were found alive and instructed to shelter in place, 10 others remain missing. Rescue teams are battling blizzard conditions and a high avalanche warning to reach the survivors near Castle Peak.
