Iraqi security forces launched a large-scale manhunt on Tuesday following the kidnapping of American freelance journalist Shelly Kittleson in central Baghdad. The veteran war correspondent was reportedly seized by unidentified assailants near the Baghdad Hotel on Al-Saadoun Street. While Iraqi authorities have arrested one suspect and seized a vehicle used in the abduction.
