The United Arab Emirates on Monday confirmed that four cruise missiles launched from Iran were detected heading towards various areas across the country in a major escalation of regional tensions. The UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed that three of the cruise missiles were successfully intercepted by the country's air defence systems over its territorial waters, while a fourth missile fell into the sea before it could cause any damage.
