While Islamabad had laid claim over the 35 million pounds lying with the NatWest Bank in London, the court decided that the rightful heir to the treasure is Prince Mukarram Jah – the titular eighth Nizam of Hyderabad – and his younger brother Muffakham Jah. Both of them had joined hands with the Indian government to fight the litigation against Pakistan.
