A major police operation in Ukraine’s capital ended Saturday with six people dead and at least 14 others injured after a gunman opened fire on bystanders before taking hostages inside a local supermarket. The assailant, identified as a 58-year-old man, was shot and killed by police special forces after a 40-minute standoff in the city’s Holosiivskyi district.
