Social media platform Facebook is notoriously famous for having numerous fake profiles. And the Indore police has arrested a man for sending obscene messages to a Bhojpuri actress. As per the first reports, the accused Ravi Joshi created a fake account and used the ID to demand sexual favours from the Bhojpuri starlet. He befriended the victim on the social networking site by using the name Radhika Jain. Keeping the identity of the cinema star under wraps, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Amarinder Singh informed how his team caught hold of Ravi Joshi. During the investigation, they was found that ID was being operated by Ravi Joshi, a resident of Treasure Township near Gadbadi Bridge. The Bhojpuri actress who frequently shoots in Mumbai is a native of Limbodi area in Indore district. Joshi knew she lived alone, making her an easy target to prey on. “The accused knew that complainant lives alone, and she would be an easy target for him,” police said. After a few days of friendship on Facebook, the actress had started getting lewd messages and obscene pictures on chat. It was followed by Ravi asking her to meet him alone in a city hotel. Ravi who previously worked in milk and dairy transportation business had got hold of his victim’s number from a Bhojpuri film producer. It is utterly shameful to see how easy it is for sexual predators to look for their hunt on social media platforms. Creating a fake account is no herculean task, and it is widely done to carried out by miscreants. It is time one is careful about the people you add as your friend or chat on the social networking sites. Precaution is any day better than finding a solution.
