The Indian Army's passing out parade (POP) for 144 regular, 127 TES and 27 UES courses was held at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun this morning. About 382 cadets will be joining the Indian Army. Among them are two identical twins who have managed to pass out together from the IMA this year. Abhinav Pathak commissioned into Army Air Defence while his brother Parinav Pathak joined Army Aviation Core. Their family is currently residing in Jalandhar. Parinav is elder to his brother Abhinav by two minutes. Both the brothers have completed engineering. Parinav pursued his mechanical engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in Ludhiana, while Abhinav did his engineering in computer science from DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology. They pursued their 12th from The Senior Study- II, Amritsar. Among the 382 cadets who have passed out, 72 of them are from Uttar Pradesh, followed by Bihar, Haryana and Punjab. Along with them are 77 foreign cadets, with about 45 cadets from Afghanistan. It is nice to see the twins passing out together and promising to serve the nation. These cadets will help in enhancing the nation's forces and security. We are sure their families will be proud of them and their parents who did not hold back their sons from serving the nation.
