Colombo, March 18: Bangladesh, who were at the cusp of victory in the final of the Nidahas Tri-Series T20I against India, yet again faltered at the last minute and the last ball. Though this time, the victory was snatched from the jaws of defeat by a certain and brilliant Dinesh Karthik, whose hitting today in the last two overs could give even Mahendra Singh Dhoni a run for his money. Bangladeshi fans, naturally, are left dejected after this loss as their dream of seeing the Bangladesh Tigers defeat the Men in Blue has evaporated in thin air, yet again. The whole cricketing world knows how emotional Bangladeshi fans are and their over the top reaction on Bangladesh cricket team's victory or defeat. And to add salt to injury, Twitterati has been mercilessly slaying the Bangla Tigers and their affinity for Nagin or Cobra dance that they have had displayed throughout the series.

To give where credit is due, Bangladesh played some really good and gutsy cricket to defeat Sri Lanka and put India under tremendous pressure at the end of the final. But Twitter is unsparing when it comes to memes. Bangladesh cricket fans have been a tad too arrogant and considering all the tension that took place in last match against Sri Lanka. Captain Shakib Al Hasan was about to call the players off the field and the Nagin or cobra dance that followed after Mahmudullah hit a six of the penultimate delivery to take Bangladesh to victory, must have irked the Sri Lankan fans as well. On Twitter, both Indian and Sri Lankan cricket team supporters took to memes to give it back to Bangladesh. Here are some savage tweets after India's victory over Bangladesh:

There can be no doubt about the fact that India could not have won without the last over heroics of Dinesh Karthik, here is what a fan posted after all the Nagin dance done by Bangladesh throughout the series:

One twitter user equated Bangladesh's loss to the game of snake and ladder, quite creative we must say:

Some tweets really mocked the Bangladesh cricket team, but they must remember that Bangladesh did really well to reach up to here, but as said earlier, Twitter spares no one:

Some tweets were, if truth be told, expected, for example:

This tweet will tell you that Twitter is a mean landscape that rubs salt to wound like nobody else can:

Of course, no India fan can forget to thank the man of the moment for this victory: Dinesh Karthik

The Sri Lankan fans also gave it back in style, remember, just a couple of days back their team was humbled by the Bangladesh cricket team and had their revenge through India today:

Even the legendary Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar showed a move or two in the commentary box. Considering that he is from Mumbai, surely he must have learnt the step in a wedding dance or many amazing celebrations of Mumbai. He put it to good effect today in the commentary box, don't miss Brett Lee's reaction:

There are tweets galore and we are sure that they will keep flowing in for a long time. This has been an exciting series with all the cricketing and non-cricketing action that has taken place. In case you missed it, here is the whole Nagin dance saga,  just click on Nagin dance  to get all the stories related to the much talked about topic in this series. Well played Bangladesh, and well played Twitterati. The growing rivalry between the Asian cricketing countries will give a lot to Twitter to tweet about in future as well.
