Joining the bandwagon of celebrities who frequently post-internet challenges are Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore. The Olympic silver medallist has come with a fitness challenge citing the importance of being fit. The sports minister on Tuesday took to Twitter urging Indians to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Rathore posted the tweet with a video of him doing push-ups in his office.

In the tweet, he challenged Hrithik Roshan, Saina Nehwal and Virat Kohli to share videos or pictures of them working out. The 48-year-old minister did 10 push-ups for #HumFitTohIndiaFit campaign.

Hrithik shared a video of himself on a cycle revealing that he commutes to work on a bicycle to him in shape. Sportspeople including Babita Phogat, Manoj Kumar, Mary Kom and Nikhat Zareen also took the challenge and post their fitness video and pictures. Twitterati also joined the challenge sharing videos and pictures of themselves working out.

Saina was quick to respond with a video of her weightlifting, she took the #FitnessChallenge ahead by challenging Rana Duggabati, PV Sindhu and Gautam Gambhir.

Inspiring the young, cricketer Gautam Gambhir posted a video of his training. Politicians like Manoj Tiwari, Jayant Sinha and Mansukh Mandaviya, also accepted the challenge and applauded the initiative aimed at promoting fitness.

It is quite a known fact that Rathore follows a strict fitness regime follow tight work schedule. Last year, Union home minister Kiren Rijiju had posted a video of Rathore sweating out in the gym and wrote how he finds time to hit the gym. The video received positive responses from Twitterati with most calling Rathore an inspiration. Rijiju later shared a video of himself at the gym urging youths to stay away from drugs.
